History

The firm of Duncan W Goodwin, Certified General Accountant has been serving the Town of Georgina and beyond for over 20 years. Started in 1990, then proprietor Bill (Wm) Riggs, CGA, a retired high school accounting teacher, began the accounting practice with the help of a part time bookkeeper.

In 2004, Duncan Goodwin, a former Sutton High School accounting student of Bill’s took over the practice on a full time basis. Full time staff now includes a bookkeeper and second designated accountant, also a CGA. Additionally, a seasonal personal tax specialist joins the firm for several months in the spring, as well as additional part time staff as required.

The background of the staff is varied and deep. From enterprise level financial systems management implementation, to public company reporting, to personal tax preparation and small business administration and management, the staff of Duncan W Goodwin CGA bring this experience to the field of public accounting for small and medium sized business services.
